Patricia Griffith is a graduate of Bloomsburg University, (BSN) the University of Pennsylvania (MSN), and Villanova University (PhD). After a nursing and advanced practice career in surgical trauma critical care and orthopaedic hand surgery, she is now an educator for the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Pennsylvania. She serves as the course director for the clinical coursework, the program's clinical coordinator, and clinical faculty for individual students. This summer, Patti will assume the Associate Program Director position.
Patti recently completed a doctoral dissertation at Villanova University where her research focused on diagnostic reasoning competency development by NP students, cognitive biases, education, and simulation. She has four publications from her dissertation work, including the June 2023 Clinical Simulation in Nursing issue.
