Patricia has been a nurse for over 45 years and has spent the majority of that time in nursing education with a specialty in simulation in nursing education. She received my BSN from Salem State University, MSN from Framingham State University, and DNP from Regis College. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and has been a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator since 2014. She has retired from her full-time faculty role at Regis College where she was the Director of the Clinical Resource and Simulation Center for many years. Currently, she is a visiting associate professor at Framingham State University where she and her colleague are teaching the Certificate in Nursing Simulation program which they developed. It is exciting to see this dream become a reality.
She has presented at both national and international nursing conferences and has published her work in peer-reviewed nursing journals. She is a volunteer with the Regis in Haiti project, teaching our Haitian nurse colleagues about simulation and curriculum design for over 13 years. She also developed a course for foreign-educated nurses transitioning into professional practice in the United States utilizing Simulation. The inaugural class of seven nurses from Saudi Arabia completed the course and had 100% success in the NCLEX exam on their first attempt.
She is a volunteer with the Cummings Foundation and is the chair of the membership committee on the BOD of MARILN
