Laura is an innovative nurse educator from Northern Ontario who is committed to advancing authenticity of nursing education through co-creation with students and community partners. Her simulation research is focused on virtual simulation in a variety of contexts. She is in her third year of the PhD in Nursign program at Queen’s University under the supervision of Dr. Marian Luctkar-Flude. Laura works with the INACSL and the Canadian Alliance of Nurse Educators using Simulation (CAN-Sim) research interest groups to improve her use of simulation and engagement in impactful research. Through collaboration with diverse people to create educational materials, like simulations, Laura hopes to bring person-centeredness to the forefront of education and practice.
