Erin Backstrom graduated with her Master's in Nursing Education from the University of West Georgia in May of 2019, where she was employed for five years as a Simulation Nurse Educator. As a Simulation Nurse Educator, Erin worked diligently to help students realize their purpose and gave them the tools needed to be successful at the bedside. Recently, Erin decided to return to direct patient care, using her extensive clinical knowledge and skills to improve patient outcomes at Tanner Health System in Carrollton, Georgia as a Clinical Outcomes Manager. Erin's previous roles include over ten years of experience as a bedside nurse in several clinical areas including med-surg, inpatient rehabilitation, and critical care. Erin is passionate about empowering nurses and students to provide exceptional patient care through critical thinking and clinical decision-making.
