Dr. Kathryn Dambrino is an Assistant Professor in the graduate nursing program at Belmont University College of Nursing. After completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and ANCC Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) board-certification in 2016, Dr. Dambrino has pursued research interests and clinical practice in the college/university health specialty. Some of her research interests include antimicrobial stewardship, opioid overdose prevention/naloxone distribution, interprofessional education, and LGBTQ+ health. In her teaching role, she works with DNP students as they design, implement, and disseminate scholarly projects. In clinical practice, Dr. Dambrino enjoys providing holistic and evidence-based care to university students and precepting FNP students during their clinical rotations. Dr. Dambrino has been a member of the Middle Tennessee Antimicrobial Stewardship Symposium planning committee since 2019, and she previously served as the Director of the Belmont University Health Services on-campus clinic. She is a member of the American College Health Association, American Nurses Association, and Tennessee Nurses Association.
