Dr. Ashley Franklin graduated from Oregon Health & Science University with a PhD in Nursing in 2014 and is employed by Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Ashley's program of research focuses on novice nurses' competent behavioral performance in multiple patient simulation and human factors that underpin competence. In addition to teaching undergraduate learners in simulation, Ashley focuses on simulation faculty devleopment and curriculum mapping. Her interest in integrating electronic medical records comes from changing simulation preparation materials in dedicated simulation courses and helping learners develop skills related to NextGen NCLEX.. Ashley is interested in advancing the science of simulation through research with interprofessional research teams. Ashley has served on the INACSL Board of Directors as the liaison to the Research Committee, Standards Committtee, and Research Special Interest Group since 2021. She is President-Elect for INACSL 2023-2024.
