Bridget Messina is the manager of the nursing skills and simulation lab at the New York Presbyterian School of Health Sciences at Iona University. She began her career in nursing after graduating from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh with her BSN. After Medical-Surgical nursing, she started her work as a Pediatric nurse and spent most of her career at the Children’s Hospital of New York Presbyterian. After completing her MSN in nursing education at Molloy University, she worked as an adjunct clinical instructor for Columbia University for several years. Her primary focus is advancing the science of simulation to improve students' clinical judgment and confidence. Furthermore, she is keen on exploring how technology, such as virtual reality, can enhance student learning and outcomes.
