Dr. Deborah Klesel is a critical care as a nurse practitioner, holding leadership positions in acute care settings in the public and private sectors. Educational faculty experiences include pathophysiology and pharmacology, medical surgical and intensive care, behavioral health and emotional intelligence, leadership and research, and end of life care using transitioning presence. Dr. Klesel attended NOEP (Nurse Oncology Education Program) training program at MD Anderson and volunteers in research funded by the Stanzel foundation tracking children in rural areas of Texas, age 6 to 16, to predict diabetes. Dr. Klesel is the director of research for the Contemplative Network, a non-profit in Houston, Texas. Contemporary research focus is centering/mystical prayer in Parkinson’s, depression, PTSD, and grief. Dr. Klesel is currently the Director of the Accelerated Bachelors of Science program with the University Of St. Thomas Peavy School Of Nursing.
