My name is Bonita Moore, and I graduated with an ADN in 2013 from Bluegrass Community and Technical College and began working at UK Healthcare in the clinical Decision unit (CDU) providing care for ICU, progressive, and telemetry patients. In January 2014, I transferred to a medical surgical/telemetry unit at UK Healthcare Good Samaritan and continued to work there until July 2022. I graduated with a BSN from Indiana Wesleyan University in December 2015 and accepted an adjunct clinical instructor position for Bluegrass Community and Technical College in January 2016 serving in that role until May 2020. I graduated with an MSN in clinical education from Indiana Wesleyan University in December 2018 and began working as part-time faculty for the University of Kentucky College of Nursing in the Clinical Simulation and Learning Center (CSLC), and as a part-time instructor for Kaplan Inc. teaching courses to prepare students to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), writing course content for i-Humanpatients, and most recently writing Next Generation NCLEX questions for Kaplan’s NCLEX review course material. I began working full-time for the University of Kentucky College of Nursing as a lecturer in the CSLC in August 2022 and became a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) in October 2022.
