Dr. Elizabeth Kelson is a Gerontologist whose work focuses on dementia care, qualitative methodologies, health and aging, technology and aging, biography / narrative, health and social care policy, environmental gerontology, and knowledge mobilization. Elizabeth has spent more than 25 years working with and learning from older adults across a range of sites – in community, residential and hospital care settings. Her doctoral research (Centre for Research on Personhood in Dementia, University of British Columbia) produced a critical ethnography of person-centred long-term care, and she was a post-doctoral researcher and teaching fellow at UBC in the School of Nursing and the School of Population and Public Health. Elizabeth is an Instructor in Aging & Gerontology at The Chang School, Toronto Metropolitan University and a researcher and consultant for design projects on environments of aging, health care and gerontological education.
