Michelle Summers received her RN diploma from Bryan School of Nursing in 1996. After completing her MSN, Michelle received her Doctor of Education from Bryan College of Health Sciences in 2019. Dr. Summers has over 25 years of experience in psychiatric mental health nursing, and is currently employed as an Associate Professor of Undergraduate Nursing at Bryan College of Health Sciences in Lincoln, Nebraska. Dr. Summers has presented her research at several national and international conferences, studying the lived experience of college faculty following student suicide. In addition to her interest in mental health, Dr. Summers has an interest in bringing more simulation into mental health nursing education for undergraduate nurses. Dr. Summers is committed to bringing more Next Generation NCLEX (NGN) item types into clinical simulation education.
