Dr. Aller, Assistant Professor for the Kent State University College of Nursing (KSU CON), investigates the development of a contemporary model of undergraduate nursing education. Using innovative, multi-platform virtual simulation, Dr. Aller measures student development in the areas of self-efficacy, sound clinical judgment, and clinical decision-making as a means of increasing resilience and diversity, equity, and inclusion awareness in new graduate nurses. Her research team includes funded interdisciplinary academic faculty, internationally recognized corporate/industry leaders, and clinical practice partners committed to the targeting diversity, equity, and belonging in student nurses by including study sites representative of traditionally underserved populations. Dr. Aller currently serves as Chair of the Patient Safety Special Interest Group at the International Nurses Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) and is certified as a Clinical Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE). Her work experience includes academic, clinical, and administrative positions, as well as curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation for Kaplan North America, Inc. and Elsevier Publishing.
