Gina Petersen graduated from Quinnipiac University School of Nursing in 2013 and is employed by the Fairfield University Egan School of Nursing & Health Studies in Fairfield, CT. Gina has presented posters and podium presentations at several conferences, including the Center to Advance Palliative Care National Seminar (2017), the ANCC National Magnet Conference (2019), the International Meeting for Simulation in Healthcare (2020), and the Hospice and Palliative Nursing Association Annual Conference (2020). Gina currently works as the Simulation Lab Coordinator who teaches undergraduate traditional & accelerated baccalaureate nursing students in the Kanarek Learning Resource Center skills lab. She is passionate about embracing vulnerability, self-compassion, mentoship, and sim-novation in the lab to empower a younger learner population entering nursing in a post-pandemic world.
