Dr. Sadlon received her Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts Worcester Graduate School of Nursing. During her doctoral work, she developed an interest in the cultural aspects of chronic disease management and the health beliefs of indigenous populations. Her current work relates to using simulation to depict cultural humility in nursing care. Dr. Sadlon is also working on projects that use simulation to increase student engagement in simulation activities and research to improve reflective practice and simulation competency evaluation. Dr. Sadlon has led the SSH-accredited Rhode Island College Onanian School of Nursing’s Simulation Program since 2013. The Rhode Island College Onanian School of Nursing has appointed Dr. Sadlon as their inaugural Endowed Professor of Simulation and Innovation.
