Lynn Phillips has over 30 years of nursing experience, the last 20 in education. She is director of a Simulation Center that provides a variety of standardized patient and manikin based simulation experiences for Nursing and Health Science students. She has completed the NLN Simulation Leader course as well as certification as a Standardized Patient Trainer. With this background she is convinced that simulation is a teaching method that affords students and nurses the opportunity to practice behaviors and decision-making skills that translate into the clinical setting. Education research interests include the use of Virtual Reality to foster empathy and Mask Ed to enhance student perception of older adults.
