Associate Teaching Professor, Undergraduate Program Coodinator

Dr. Stacie Hunsaker is an associate teaching professor of nursing at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She has worked 29 of her 35 years in emergency departments in the roles of staff nurse, charge nurse, simulation facilitator, and nurse educator. She currently teaches nursing students full-time and continues to work regularly scheduled shifts in the ED. Stacie loves teaching healthcare providers and continues to teach in the hospital setting, as well. She maintains board certifications in emergency nursing, pediatric emergency nursing, nursing education, nursing leadership, and simulation healthcare education.
Stacie has been the Faculty Simulation Coordinator in her baccalaureate-nursing program and is currently the undergraduate program coordinator. She continues to practice as a simulationist and enjoys teaching essential skills to students to prepare them to enter practice. Dr. Hunsaker was a founding member of the Utah Simulation Coalition and worked diligently to offer simulation training throughout Utah. She led her college's simulation center to be her state's first SSH-accredited academic program in 2022.
