Meghan Jones serves as the director of clinical simulation and skills and coordinates the standardized patient (SP) program for the Auburn University College of Nursing (AUCON). She was instrumental in building the simulation program at AUCON and is a champion for simulation best practices within AUCON and beyond. In her current role, she develops, implements, and evaluates simulation and skills labs across the undergraduate baccalaureate curriculum. She also assists with the development and implementation of simulation in the graduate-level Master of Science in Nursing program. Meghan was awarded the Certified Healthcare Simulation Education-Advanced (CHSE-A) designation in 2022 and led AUCON’s efforts to achieve full accreditation in Teaching and Education from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. She is an active member of the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation in Nursing, the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, and the Association for Standardized Patient Educators.
